WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD

There is only one God. Deuteronomy 6:4

God is three distinct persons who are one. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was born of a virgin and is at all times both fully God and fully human Colossians 1:15-20

SALVATION

Jesus Christ’s death is the only solution to pay the penalty for sin and by trusting only in Him will one be saved John 14:6; Acts 4:12

ENDTIMES

Jesus will return to earth for a second time. Those who have placed their trust in Him will be raised to spend eternity with Him. Those who have not trusted in Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal punishment - Hell Hebrews 9:28

BIBLE

The Bible is the standard for all truth. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:16, 21

SIN

All humanity is sinful by nature in birth and deed, except Christ; therefore, no matter what he/she does he/she falls short of being perfect. Romans 3:23

Because all of humanity is sinful, the penalty for all of humanity is death, both physically and spiritually (Romans 6:23).

RESURRECTION

Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead according to the eyewitness account of at least 500 people. 1 Corinthians 15:3-9

ORDINANCES

We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the only ordinances and sacraments of the church. Water baptism is a public act by immersion in water which symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and by which the believer identifies with Christ. The Lord’s Supper symbolizes the new covenant of Jesus. Matthews 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26
