DCC loves kids!

We serve children, 18 months through 5th grade, as we share God’s love and help them to live out their faith in the Lord. Whether they are singing Christ-centered songs, learning from age-appropriate Bible lessons, participating in hands-on activities, memorizing Scripture verses, or interacting with others, our goal is to help them to know Jesus.

Our ministry servants have been screened and trained so that parents can confidently trust our ministry servants with their kids while they participate in the Sunday Gathering. We love children, and we take seriously the role that we have to share the Good News of Jesus with them. We are excited to serve you and your family!

More About City Kidz

CityKidz is a partnering ministry that comes alongside the family to help nurture and encourage faith and growth in Christ Jesus. We come alongside the family because we believe that God has positioned the nuclear family as the primary people to cultivate the heart of the child(ren) to love Jesus, themselves, and others (Proverbs 22:6). The community of God (us) is called to reinforce and assist the family in biblical teachings (I Thessalonians 5: 9-15). Because this ministry is a part of the larger body of DCC, every member of the student's family is discipled to become disciple-makers, especially in their homes (Deuteronomy 6:1-9).

This ministry of DCC serves ages/grades:

CITYKIDZ 1 | 18 MONTHS TO KINDERGARTEN (EVERY 1ST, 2ND, 3RD, & 4TH SUNDAY)
CITYKIDZ 2 | 1ST - 4TH GRADE (EVERY 1ST, 2ND, 3RD, & 4TH SUNDAY)

We use the Gospel Project curriculum, which immerses kids in the gospel through every story, theological concepts, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through this curriculum, our children will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story — God’s story of redemption.

RoadBuddies is a ministry of DCC intended to partner with families of children with different abilities. Our desire is to see every child reached with the gospel. We know that God has created each one of us as His image bearers and we want to make efforts to love on the children and their families well with the love of Christ. This ministry is designed to help special needs kids and students grow in their Christian faith as fully participating members of Disciple City Church.

The ministry aims to support special needs children and youth in all aspects of their spiritual growth including: worshipping, learning about Scripture, experiencing fellowship, praying and serving others. The ministry strives to have special needs kids, students, and families connected as much as possible to other family within the church as they seek to grow in their spiritual lives (rather than providing a program that is distinctly separate from the rest of church life).

WHAT to expect on sundays

When you arrive at Disciple City Church (DCC), stop by the Family Ministries area to check your child(ren) in. A member of our Check-In + Hospitality Team will be available to assist you. If it is your first time, please allow a few additional minutes to register your child(ren). Once checked-in, you will receive a sticker name tag to place on the back of your child(ren) and a tag to retain for identification purposes. DCC kids worship with their parents first and then are released to their respective classes during the gathering.
